Welcome to our *Jr. Caterpillars* classroom, thoughtfully designed for children ages *18 months to 2.5 years*. This exciting stage is filled with curiosity, exploration, and growing independence. Through hands-on learning, purposeful play, music, movement, art, and early language experiences, our caring teachers create a safe and nurturing environment where every child can build confidence, develop new skills, and discover the joy of learning. At The Little Butterflies Childcare, we celebrate each milestone while laying a strong foundation for future success.
Our thoughtfully planned curriculum encourages children to develop language, social-emotional, cognitive, and fine and gross motor skills through engaging, age-appropriate experiences. Daily routines include circle time, sensory exploration, creative art, dramatic play, outdoor adventures, and early problem-solving activities that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning. We believe children learn best by actively exploring their environment, asking questions, and making meaningful discoveries every day.
Building independence is a key focus in the Jr. Caterpillars classroom. With gentle guidance from our experienced teachers, children learn self-help skills such as washing hands, feeding themselves, cleaning up after activities, and following simple routines. We also support positive social interactions by teaching kindness, sharing, communication, and emotional regulation, helping every child develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition into our Caterpillars classroom.
